emergency & disaster response

CORE OBJECTIVE

 Our objective is to ensure public health and safety through a comprehensive Public Health & Emergency Response program. We focus on emergency responses to crises like heatwaves, COVID-19, and natural disasters such as Biparjoy Cyclone, drought & floods. Additionally, we promote safe defecation, cleanliness, and access to essential medications and meals to safeguard community well-being.

KEY STRATEGIES FOLLOWED :

  1. Generate Awareness of prevention and safeguarding measures of potential emergency and disaster including Heatwave, Flood, Drought and other health pandamics i.e. covid-19
  2. Provide Immidiate relief to the most affected families 
  3. Liaison and network with the likeminded organization and govt. functioneries for effective response
  4. Plan and implement rehabilitation programs for the affected communities

26 awareness Meeting benefited 860 persons including 324 male, 536 female and understand about the prevention and treatment of heatwaves.

Temporary Cooling Centre established in Agriculture Mandi, Barmer for 15 days benefited 1928 persons including 1848 male, 80 female through place for cooling down, refreshment, first aid and drinking water and milk-rose drink to fight with extreme heat.

100 poor household (169 male & 146 female headed hh) with tin-shed roof received Heat reflective sheets and felt reduced indoor temperature by 5-7% degree.

5043 ORS sachet were distributed to the children of 2401 families to get hydrated during the extreme heatwaves.

3498 Families having 7371 male and 7510 female received supply of drinking water for domestic and cattle usage for 45 days.
